David Goldstein is an accomplished scenic designer whose professional journey spans from his upbringing in Los Angeles, California, to his current base in Norwalk, Connecticut. Holding a BFA in Theatre Design and Production from York University in Toronto, Ontario, David brings a wealth of experience and expertise to each project he undertakes.
 

With his earliest theatrical memory dating back to the tender age of five, watching the national touring company of "Fiddler on the Roof," David's passion for the stage ignited early and has continued to burn brightly throughout his career. Drawing inspiration from the ordinary moments of everyday life, he finds beauty in the mundane, infusing his designs with a sense of authenticity and depth.
 

Approaching each new project with a thoughtful blend of historical context and contemporary relevance, David delves into the period and themes of the piece, seeking to create sets that not only transport audiences to another time and place but also resonate with the world we inhabit today. His portfolio boasts a diverse range of work, spanning theaters across 16 states, as well as ventures into weddings, escape rooms, corporate events, and music festival stages.
 

Beyond the spotlight, David shares his life with his faithful canine companion, Belle, with whom he coincidentally shares a birthday. When he's not busy bringing theatrical magic to life, you can find David indulging in his other passion: navigating the intricacies of over 250 escape rooms. Additionally, he lends his talents to Congregation Beth El in Norwalk, CT, adding a touch of creativity to the community's events and gatherings.
